東京の暮らしで気づいたこと

　JICA北陸での勤務の後にJICA東京に異動になり、しばらく東京で暮らしていました。東京で暮らしている時は、欲しいものや、やりたいこと、やらなきゃいけないことがたくさんあり、あれもこれも欲しい、あれもこれもしたい、あれもこれもしなきゃ、という慌ただしい生活を送っていました。ふとした時に、これは自分らしい生活ではないのでは、と気づきました。
　能美市には家族がいて、友達がいて、美味しいものを食べられて、身の回りにあるものだけで本当に幸せ、そして変わらない日々を過ごせることが何より幸せなんだ、ということに気づかされたこともUターンのきっかけになりました。
Later I got transferred from JICA Hokuriku to JICA Tokyo and lived in Tokyo for a while. It was a crazy busy life. There were so many things that I wanted to have, wanted to do, and had to do. I suddenly realized that my life in Tokyo is not my life
My family and friends are in Nomi, and I can eat delicious food here. I’m happy to have only what I have now and my happiness is just having normal life. That was a reason for my return here.

 

 

　高校時代に「世界には知らないことがたくさんある」と知って、飛び出し、色んな世界を見てきたり、色んな人たちと会ってきましたが、これからは自分が生まれ育ったふるさとのために今までの自分の経験を活かして貢献できたらと思うようになりました。 それは誰にでもできることではなく、私だからできることがたくさんあるんじゃないかと思いました。私がそうであるように、外に出て地元の良さに気づくことは多いと思います。地元に愛着を持つ人たちを増やしたいという思いも、Uターンの理由のひとつです。
My interest to what’s going on in the world started in high school. Since then, I went out of Japan, saw many countries, and met various people. I came to realize I want to dedicate myself to my home town by taking advantages of my experience. I thought I can do many things because it is me, not because anyone can do them. I guess many people understand their home town’s good aspects after spending time outside of it. It was so for me. One of the reasons I came back was to increase the number of people who love their own town.
 

（株）日本海開発と根上中学校生徒による根上海岸の清掃作業に能美市国際交流協会として参加し、清掃をしながら生徒と留学生が英語を通して交流する。 

　私にとっては地元の能美市を外国の方たちも含めてその良さを知ってほしいです。能美市で生まれ育った人や暮らしている人にはその良さに気づいてほしいです。すべてはそこに尽きます。もちろん能美市もこうしたらいいと思うところもたくさんありますが、そういうこともひっくるめて、みんな能美市を好きになって愛着を持ってほしいです。ここで暮らしてほしいですが、若い人にはどんどん外に出て行ってほしいです。ただ、やっぱり最終的には能美市が良いよね、と思ってもらえるまちにしていけるお手伝いが出来たらと思っています。
I want many people including foreign residents to know the good aspects of Nomi, my home town. I also want people who were born and have been living here to notice those good aspects. I’m doing all for this. There are many improvements needed in Nomi, but I want many people to like it with all of the imperfections. I want young people to live here, but I also want them to go out and experience more. I want to help the city to become a place where the young would want to come back again someday.
