Charcoal crafts for parents and children

  Come to make charcoal craftwork with acrons and leaves! 
When: October, 13 (Sat) 9:00 ~ 12:00 (to be held even in case of small rain)
Where: Nanatsudaki (Seven Waterfalls) parking lot of Nagataki machi
Audience: Families and anybody interested!
Capacity: 10 groups (4 persons per group max)

Boy scouts camping for parents and children

 Come to enjoy the big nature with energetic friends.
When: October, 20 (Sat) 15:00-20:00 (OK to participate not from the start)
Where: Midorigaoka Ikoi-no Hiroba camp site
Audience: Parents and children senior kindergarten groups and above. Junior high school students and above can participate without parents.

Guided hike at Yarimizu Kannon mountain

 Come to walk with a guide getting to know about different kinds of lumbery like konara oak and aohada holly.
When: October, 20 (Sat) 10:00- approx. 14:00

Fee: adults 1,000 yen, high school students and younger 500 yen

Puppet theater "Arabian nights: the magic lamp and the light of tomorrow"

This a big puppet performance by professional puppet theater "Musubiza" based in Nagoya and performing all around the country. Their performances involve the audience as well, so the whole hall immences into the adventure world. This is a splendid show that will charm not only children but adults as well. You are welcome to come with all your family!
When: October, 14 (Sun) Hall open 13:00, performance starts 13:30

An exhibition of Kutani ceramics, open data and UltraArt

  There will be a panel exhibition of goods and videos made of digital images of works in the Kutani Museum's collection stored as open data on UltraArt HP (lobby gallery). During the exhibition period, there wil also be a video art projection on the outer wall of the Museum and a symposium on practical usage or art. (See Kutani Museum HP and other sources for details)

Parents and children, climb the Kokuzō mountain!

 Come to enjoy and taste Fall, and to make delicious onigiri rice triangles.
When: October, 28 (Sun) 9:00-13:00
Where: Kokuzō mountain, Wake Aiai-no Sato
Audience: Elementary school students and their guardians
Capacity: 15 groups, 30-40 persons
Bring: insect repellent, drinks (water flask), rain gear (will be conducted even in case of light rain), working gloves, no sweets
Wear: long sleeves, long pants, long boots, a hat

When the town meets the village: go to local mountains!!!

 Come to find anew the good things about your local neighborhood at the "When the town meets the vilage" event. Get in touch with local mountains culture and people located at Kokuzō and Butsudaiji districts, and with the nature. Enjoy different hands-on activities and events. This wil be a day packed with hands-on activities like puppet show, music performances, cooking rice in a kiln, hoisting persimons on a string, making chopstics out of lumber from thinning.

 Nomi♥Childcare Network will conduct a flea market for baby goods, children wear, maternity goods, toys, etc. For details, please see posters at Childcare Support Center or Children Centers.

Health mini lecture "The feet health"

 What should you do to healthily walk on your own feet no matter how old you become? We wil talk on broad spectre of topics from the structure of legs and exercises related to it to the choosing of shoes. Participation is free.

Healthy diet lecture "How to clense agricultural chemicals"

Talking about electricity and doing crafts

Special exhibition "The future of Kutani ceramics"
-Kutani ceramics that color the environment-

  Ishikawa prefecture Kutani Ceramics Technology Research Institute has bred a lot of students who will carry the future of Kutani ceramics on their shoulders. This exhibition will display 16 works chosen from the permanent collection of the Institute comprised of works of its graduates, mainly interior articles.

 Come to boost your health and physical power through tag-of-war! There will be teams from local communities and free teams. Gather at least 8 powerful friends (with at least 3 females included) and participate!

Japanese classes in Nomi
Upcoming months schedule

  Nomi City holds a weekly Japanese Class aimed toward foreigners who live and work in Nomi. Teachers from the Nomi Japanese Teachers Society will teach Japanese that is useful in everyday life. Beyond just the language, there will also be opportunities to learn more about Japanese culture throughout each of the seasons.
