Since April, 2014 Nomi city employs Vadim Bushmakin (from Russia) as an International Relations Coordinator. At Nomi city the IRC supports language learning neccesary for promotion of the region's international understanding and communication. The support is conducted through the following activities. Conducting International Exchange Events
Parties are held for Elementary school kids of 1 and 2 grades, devided by Junior High School districts. Help and participation of CIRs and ALTs from all over the prefecture is also acquired.Dates for International Exchange Events for 2018-2019 will be announced later.

During the year the city nursery schools and schools are visited, International Exchange lessons, English lessons, International Understanding lessons are conducted.
Exchange with IRC is deepened through games.
