Since April, 2014 Nomi city employs Vadim Bushmakin (from Russia) as an International Relations Coordinator. At Nomi city the IRC supports language learning neccesary for promotion of the region's international understanding and communication. The support is conducted through the following activities. It has a lot of interesting projects and wonderful portfolio, and it also actively participates in international activities in Nomi city. February, 23 (Sat) Theme: Valentine's DayTime: 15:00～17:00Where: Neagari General Culture Hall, conference room 204Valentine's day is probably the biggest event in February in Western countries. This time we will talk about it's history and about traditions associated with it. Fee: 100 yen (collected on the day)Capacity: no limits. Conducting International Exchange Events
Parties are held for Elementary school kids of 1 and 2 grades, devided by Junior High School districts. Help and participation of CIRs and ALTs from all over the prefecture is also acquired.

We introduced how New Year is celebrated in Russia, played New Year games, enjoyed singing and dancing. There were be cartoons and toys, sweets making experience available. During the year the city nursery schools and schools are visited, International Exchange lessons, English lessons, International Understanding lessons are conducted.
Exchange with IRC is deepened through games.
